1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Receipt ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

These terms apply to all users, features, and functionality of Receipt, including but not limited to:

• Receipt scanning and PDF creation
• Automatic data extraction (OCR)
• Folder organization and management
• Comments and dictation features
• Search functionality
• Export features (PDF and CSV)
• Share Extension
• Currency management

2. Permitted Use

Receipt is designed for personal expense and receipt management. You may use the App for:

• Personal expense tracking and organization
• Business trip expense documentation
• Travel expense management
• Receipt archiving and record keeping
• Generating expense reports for reimbursement
• Personal financial organization

3. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Use the App to create fraudulent expense reports
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Use the App for commercial resale or distribution

4. Privacy and Data

Receipt is designed with privacy as a core principle:

• All receipt data is stored locally on your device
• OCR processing uses Apple's Vision framework on-device
• We do not upload, access, or store your receipts
• No internet connection is required to use the App
• Your financial information never leaves your device
• No user accounts or registration required

5. Camera and Microphone Access

The App requires certain device permissions:

5.1 Camera Access

• Used only for scanning receipts when you initiate a scan
• Photos are converted to PDFs and stored locally
• Multi-page scanning supported for long receipts
• No images are transmitted externally

5.2 Microphone Access

• Used only for voice dictation of comments
• Speech is processed using Apple's on-device Speech framework
• No audio recordings are stored or transmitted

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

6. OCR and Data Extraction

The App uses Apple's Vision framework to automatically extract data from receipts:

• Extraction includes merchant name, date, total, currency, and line items
• All processing occurs entirely on your device
• Accuracy depends on receipt quality and legibility
• You can manually edit any extracted data
• We make no guarantees about extraction accuracy

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Receipt App

Receipt is proprietary software owned by Pavel Gnatyuk. All rights, title, and interest in the App remain with the developer.

7.2 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all receipts and data you store in the App:

• Your scanned receipts belong to you
• Your comments and notes belong to you
• We make no claim to your content
• You can export or delete your data at any time

8. Export and Sharing

The App allows you to export your data:

• Export combined PDF with all receipts in a folder
• Export CSV with extracted data (merchant, date, total, currency, comments)
• Share via iOS Share Sheet to other apps
• You are responsible for how you use exported data

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

9.1 Service Availability

Receipt is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all devices or iOS versions
• Accuracy of OCR data extraction
• Suitability for any particular purpose

9.2 Financial Disclaimer

Receipt is a receipt organization tool, not financial or accounting software:

• We are not responsible for financial decisions based on App data
• Always verify important financial information independently
• The App is not a substitute for professional financial or tax advice
• Consult appropriate professionals for financial matters

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (which is $0)
• We are not responsible for data loss due to device failure or user error
• We are not responsible for errors in OCR extraction
• You use the App at your own risk

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. App Store Terms

If you downloaded Receipt from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's Terms of Service. In case of conflicts between these terms and Apple's terms, Apple's terms take precedence for App Store-related matters.

12. Updates and Modifications

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date
• Significant changes will be communicated through app updates
• Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of updated terms
• If you disagree with changes, discontinue use of the App

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction. For disputes:

• First, contact us directly to resolve issues amicably
• We prefer informal resolution over formal legal proceedings
• Most issues can be resolved through open communication

14. Termination

These terms remain in effect until:

• You delete the App from your device
• We discontinue the App (with reasonable notice)
• You violate these terms (automatic termination)

Upon termination, you must stop using the App. Your local data remains on your device until you delete it.
